FAQs
- When will I receive a CE credit letter?
If you provide your email address you will receive your credit letter via email within one week. If no email is provided, you will receive it via U.S. Mail within two weeks.
To ensure that messages are delivered to your inbox, please set your personal email filter to accept email from SCCO as ce@scco.edu.
- What is OE Tracker? Why do I need to provide my number to SCCO?
Optometric Education Tracker is a format used by the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry to track CE credits that optometrists earn by attending CE programs. Since July 2008, SCCO sends CE attendance records to ARBO for those optometrists who have provided their OE tracker number. For more information, go to www.arbo.org
- Is the SCCO Campus Store open on CE weekends?
No; however, you may order any product by phone at 714.44.7434 or through the Campus Store webpage where you will see an order form link.
- Does SCCO offer CE programs during the week?
Yes. Most Wednesdays we offer four CE hours at the Sepulveda and West Los Angeles VA Systems Healthcare locations. See our webpage under Online Registration.
- What happens if I have an emergency and arrive late for a CE program?
We will note your arrival time on the sign-in sheet and you will receive credit for each full hour of attendance.
- Why can’t I bring coffee/food into the lecture hall?
Our academic lecture halls are state-of-the-art and have computer ports installed in the desks for our students. Should food or drinks be spilled into the ports it would be very expensive to repair. Bottled water is allowed.
- If I did not pre-register for a program may I still attend as a walk-in?
Walk-ins are always welcome; however, we may not be able to accommodate you for lunch or presenter handouts.
- Can I earn CE credit from SCCO through Podcasts or CD’s?
No, not at this time.
