CE NEWS!
The new Glaucoma Law SB 1406 Passed! If you have not taken the 24-Hour Glaucoma Certification, you will have to complete this as phase 1. Phase 2 is now under development and will be announced in 2010.
Southern California College of Optometry will provide the 24-Hour Glaucoma Certification Course on August 21-23, 2009. This is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday program.
For those who have taken the Certification Course at SCCO in the past and desire to refresh your knowledge while learning about the latest in diagnostics and pharmacology, you may take this course a second time at half price on a space available basis.
The course is limited to the first 100 optometrists who register by March 1, 2009. Thereafter, you will be placed on a waiting list. For those who wish to take any part of the course as CE Credit only, please contact us for information regarding available space.

Online Registration
The Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) is among the nation’s leading providers of continuing professional education. Our courses address a wide range of topics to suit all areas of practice.
We now provide our registrants with the convenience of ONLINE PROGRAM REGISTRATION. You may view course content and register for any program by clicking on the Program List. You may view by date, location, program content and CE Hours.
All registrants will be required to create a login/logout. The benefit of having a personal login is that you will be able to track your completed CE credits at your convenience.
We have included the VA Grand Rounds in this new registration format.
The CE Department is confident ONLINE REGISTRATION will become your method of choice. We are available by phone to assist you with registration questions during CE business hours, 8 am 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
The Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (COPE) website houses a collection of CE requirements for all state regulatory boards in the US.
Online/Internet Based CE Courses
The courses available online are designed to offer optometrists assistance in a timely format to fulfill their requirements for re-licensure renewal. You may earn up to 12 hours of COPE approved CE credit. Click here to view courses at no charge.
