Description: Conducted as a series of discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops by members of the residency faculty, staff, and invited guest speakers. This program is designed to present the essential core of optometric knowledge in a manner conducive to learning and retention. To achieve this objective, each of the sections of the course curriculum contain related aspects of basic and clinical science and is accompanied by a self-assessment procedure. The latter element enables the course participants to evaluate knowledge and problem-solving ability during the learning process.
