Dr. John Lee graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology in 1995. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999 from the State University of New York, State College of Optometry. He then completed a one-year residency in Vision Enhancement and Rehabilitation at the same institution.

Dr. Lee is currently an instructor at the Southern California College of Optometry. His primary clinical teaching responsibilities are in the Vision Therapy and Pediatrics Services. He is also the coordinator of the Sports Vision Service at the College. Dr. Lee’s didactic teaching involvement revolves around courses related to vision therapy and pediatrics.

Dr. Lee’s clinical research interests are in the areas of sports vision, binocular vision, pediatrics, vision and learning, and traumatic brain injuries. He currently serves as a study optometrist in two studies sponsored by the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health – the Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Ethnicity and Refractive Error (CLEERE) Study, and the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial (CITT).
