Dr. William Ridder received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, his Master of Science in Biology from the Southern Illinois University, and his PhD in Physiological Optics from the University of Houston. He is a Professor in the Basic and Visual Science Department and he teaches Neurophysiology and Ocular Physiology. Dr. Ridder also runs the Electrodiagnostic Service at the College. He has published over 25 papers in referred journals and has given over 50 invited lectures at major meetings in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Dr. Ridder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. His research interests include the effect of eye movements on vision and electrodiagnostics.
